There are various parking options at Terminal 5, so whether you want a five minute drop-off or a full valet service you’ll be catered for. Terminal 5 parking can be booked online using the search form on the right.
Short stay parking
If you’re just being dropped off at the airport and don’t need to park your own car while you’re away, or are picking up friends and family, then use the short stay car park. It’s located right next to the terminal, so you won’t need to lug heavy bags long distances. Charges start at £2.50 for 30 minutes.
If you want to leave your car at the airport while you’re away, then you can use the long stay parking. This is located away from the terminal, on the airport’s northern perimeter road, but there is a free coach service from car park to terminal that takes five minutes. If you have sat nav, the co-ordinates are latitude +51.47986 and longitude -0.46902. Long stay parking costs from £15.70 per day without a booking; less if you book in advance online.
There is also a business long-stay car park, located closer to the terminal than the general long stay car-park, so ideal if you’re tired at the end of a long business trip. This costs from £22.70 per day without a booking, but again, is cheaper when pre-booked online.
There is also valet parking available, and this is certainly the least stressful parking option. It’s great for those with young children or a lot of heavy luggage, those short on time, or those who’d simply like to take the hassle out of their airport arrival. If you book valet parking, you’ll be met by a chauffer in the departure terminal who will take your keys and park your car for you in a secure compound. When you return, they will meet your flight with your car. It costs £42.95 for one day, with costs decreasing for each extra day.
