If you’ve got an early morning flight, or are arriving late from a long-haul destination, consider booking a Heathrow terminal 5 hotel. There are many hotels in the Heathrow area, but as the airport is so large, some of them are not particularly close to Terminal 5 itself, which is located on the western edge of the airport. We’ve found two nearby hotels which should cover all bases for most people.
The Sofitel London Heathrow T5 is the place to be if you want five-star luxury and convenience. It has direct access into Terminal 5 via a covered walkway, so no shuttle buses to the terminal in the morning. It’s collection of rooms and suites have great facilities, and it’s a good hotel for business travellers, with state of the art conference and meeting rooms available. There is a choice of restaurants, and gym facilities available.
For something a little more cheap and cheerful, the Travelodge Heathrow T5 is a short shuttle bus ride away and is perfect if you’re travelling on a budget. For families, there are rooms with a fold-out sofa alongside the double bed which can sleep two children. Both these and the standard double rooms come with en suite bathrooms and television, and there is an on-site restaurant.
Car users will find parking at both these hotels.
